Terms of use for the Hei Norge app

Last updated:

By downloading or using the Hei Norge app you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Licence

On iPhone and iPad, the app is licensed to you under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (Apple Standard EULA). On Android, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on your own devices for your own study, subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. You may not copy, resell, decompile or scrape the app or its content, or remove protections that restrict access to premium features.

What the app is, and is not

Hei Norge is an independent study aid for the Norwegian citizenship test (statsborgerprøven) and the social studies test (samfunnskunnskapsprøven). It is not made by, approved by or affiliated with HK-dir, UDI, the Norwegian government or any test centre. The questions are our own practice questions, not the real exam questions.

We work to keep the content accurate and based on official sources, but rules and test content change. Always check the official requirements with UDI and HK-dir before you apply or book a test. The app gives no legal advice, and a readiness estimate is only an estimate. We cannot guarantee that you will pass any test, or that an application will be approved.

Free use and Premium

A free tier is available without payment. Premium unlocks the rest of the content and features and is sold as an auto-renewing subscription: 7 days or 1 month. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy and may vary by country and over time. A price change applies only after the store has informed you as its rules require.

Acceptable use

Use the app lawfully and for your own study. Do not try to disrupt it, bypass the store's purchase system, or use it to deceive authorities or test centres.

Availability and changes

We may update, change or remove content and features, for example when the official rules change. The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, or for decisions you make based on the content. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your consumer rights under Norwegian law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. As a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
